Christina is a graduate of the Department of Marine Sciences at the University of the Aegean. She also holds a MSc in Water Resources Science and Technology from the National Technical University of Athens, as well as a Masters Degree in EU Studies from the Centre international de formation Européenne, where she studied under a Jean Monnet scholarship. She holds a certificate of Pedagogical and Teaching Competence from the School of Pedagogical and Technological Education. She has been a permanent civil servant in the Department of Environment & Spatial Planning of the Region of Central Macedonia, as well as a special associate of the Secretary General of Ports & Port Policy, Professor Th. Pallis (2011-2012), a position from which she resigned. She has also served as an expert scientist (2010 – 2014) on the board of the Management Body of Karpathos – Saria and later as its coordinator (2015). In 2016 – 2019 she was a member of the expert group “Skills and career development in the Blue Economy” (EC). In 2017 – 2018 she served as Director of the MEDITERRANEAN SOS Network and Vice President of the European Environmental Bureau. She is a collaborator of the social cooperative enterprise “Paths of Greece”.
