The Athanasios C. Laskaridis Charitable Foundation collaborates with University of Patras on topics of recording benthic, floating and coastal waste using state-of-the-art technologies (ROVs, drones and automatic waste detection systems). The Laboratory of Marine Geology and Physical Oceanography has been active in research for the last 25 years, among others, on topics of marine litter.
